The Sheringham Carnival is a somewhat new festival in England that made its appearance for the first time last year. It was so popular that they went ahead and did it right and made it a true organized event this time. Harley Davidson riders came from all over England to join in on the parade, where they ride almost 2 miles in a convoy that stretches from Fakenham to the Sheringham town centre. Then everyone lines up along high street and shows off their Harley Davidson motorcycles. Judges take a look at each and every single bike in order to choose the best one out of them all. Members of the public vote on the winner of the people’s choice award, which is the most popular because it means your bike if the favorite of all the townspeople. You may have thought Harley Davidson bikes only showed up at festivals in the United States, but think again. Harley Davidson has fans from all over the globe.

The classic black leather jacket has been a mainstay in motorcycle culture for years and years. Now, Harley Davidson is going to feature it in their museum in Milwaukee. The event is going to be called “Rockets, Rebels, and Runways – The Black Leather Jacket.” The image of the rebel biker and the culture that comes along with it will be the topic of discussion. The panelists chosen to speak at the event will include a curatorial director who is from the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame and an Oscar-nominated costume designer. They will also have the Harley Davidson General Merchandise Creative Director Karen Davidson, who you might notice is from the Davidson family. The featured exhibit is going to be called “Worn to be Wild: The Black Leather Jacket”, and it will show the changes made over time to the classic black leather jacket from the 1920s all the way up to present day culture. If you’re in the area, be sure to stop by and check it out. It runs until September 3rd.
If you’ve never seen the Grand Canyon, then you have no idea on what you’re missing out on. It’s one of nature’s wonders of the world, and what better way to see it than riding on a Harley Davidson. If you’re ever in the area, you have to check out the Papillon Group. They now offer tour of the Grand Canyon, where you can choose to ride in a helicopter, ride on a Harley, or do both. Of course, the best way is to do both so you can get a bird’s eye view, along with being on the ground so you can be up close and personal with nature. You can even leave from Las Vegas and take a flight to the southern tip of the Grand Canyon, and then jump on Harley and ride for 2 and a half hours. How awesome would that be? So, keep this in mind the next time you take a trip to Sin City!
