Harley Davidson JacketThe classic black leather jacket has been a mainstay in motorcycle culture for years and years. Now, Harley Davidson is going to feature it in their museum in Milwaukee. The event is going to be called “Rockets, Rebels, and Runways – The Black Leather Jacket.” The image of the rebel biker and the culture that comes along with it will be the topic of discussion. The panelists chosen to speak at the event will include a curatorial director who is from the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame and an Oscar-nominated costume designer. They will also have the Harley Davidson General Merchandise Creative Director Karen Davidson, who you might notice is from the Davidson family. The featured exhibit is going to be called “Worn to be Wild: The Black Leather Jacket”, and it will show the changes made over time to the classic black leather jacket from the 1920s all the way up to present day culture. If you’re in the area, be sure to stop by and check it out. It runs until September 3rd.
