Harley Davidson Rider’s Group “Prince Rupert Harley Riders” recently donated more than 250 toys to the Salvation Army. They also raised over $10,000 in donations and handed over a check in order to help them out for the upcoming Christmas season. This all took place during the popular 2011 Toy Run, which raises money and collects toys every year for kids that otherwise may not have a merry Christmas. If you have anything to donate to the Salvation Army, please do so because they truly do make a difference in children’s lives every single year. It is one of the better organizations out there, so please do all you can to help out over the holidays.

I bet you never thought you would see a Harley cruising in the Holy Land! Well, recently that is exactly what took place. A group of Christian Harley Davidson lovers from all over the United States made the trip with their bikes to take part in their own style of pilgrimage to Israel. The group of about 70 riders was mostly made up of motorcycle enthusiasts from Texas and they passed out grape juice and crackers to the crowd of onlookers that eventually formed when they made their first big pit stop. Many tourists stopped to pose for pictures with the Harley crew, and they gladly posed for the camera. Who knows where Harley will be seen next!

Harley Davidson Is Hitting The Brakes

It was recently announced that there has been a problem found on some Harley bikes that causes the brake lights to stop working, or may even cause the rear brakes to stop working all together. Documents were filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration last week that provided evidence showing that the switches are too close to the heat coming off of the exhaust system. The extreme heat is what has lead to the brake light issue, and has been know to cause fluid to leak out, which makes the rear brakes stop functioning. This little bump in the road for Harley Davidson is estimated to cost around $10-$12 million. If you own a Touring, Trike, or CVO model from 2009-2012, you may want to have it checked out because local Harley dealers are installing a rear brake replacement kit for free!

Harley Davidson Being Sued By The Estate Of Marlon Brando Over Boot Name

The estate of famed actor Marlon Brando has filed a lawsuit against Harley-Davidson Motor Company for allegedly selling a line of boots called “The Brando.” Brando Enterprises says in a lawsuit filed in California that the “Brando” boots misappropriate the late actor’s likeness. It wants an injunction to stop the motorcycle giant from continuing to sell and marketing the footwear. We’ve heard of all sorts of claims by celebrities over their publicity rights: image, name, voice, etc. Last year, the estate of Humphrey Bogart went to war over a couch called the “Bogart” that was said to confuse the public. So it’s probably not a shocker that boots have now made the list of alleged infringements. According to the lawsuit, the boots look similar to a pair that Brando wore in the 1953 classic, “The Wild One.” In announcing the lawsuit, Jeffrey Abrams, the lawyer for the estate, pointed out that Harley-Davidson has been aggressive in its own right on the trademark front. “It is interesting that Harley-Davidson — a company that is vigorously protective of its own brand — would seek to exploit an iconic property without benefit of a licensing agreement,” said Abrams. “The flagrant disregard for the law by Harley-Davidson cannot be tolerated. It is our mission to protect the Marlon Brando name and we will pursue any company or individual who infringes on these rights meant to benefit the Brando family.”

Berry and Martinez were photographed earlier this month while riding off on the saddle of a Harley-Davidson Sportster from a Los Angeles cafe at lunch. Berry was wearing a three-quarter helmet and visor, a pink leather jacket, jeans and motorcycle boots with a series of straps. Martinez was also fully equipped, which means they both put a great emphasis on safety.
